Mars' Anderson headed to Pitt

PITTSBURGH — Mars graduate Jack Anderson, a first baseman-catcher for State College of Florida and Northwestern, is continuing his academic and baseball career at the University of Pittsburgh.

Anderson had a .429 on-base percentage and hit .314 at State College of Florida, collecting 59 hits, 15 doubles, 46 runs and five homers. He had a .420 batting average with four homers in high school.

Pitt's 2021 baseball recruiting class includes 13 true freshmen, nine players with Division 1 experience and three JUCO transfers.
