Morgan Vrana of Harmony recently completed a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at the College of Veterinary Medicine of Midwestern University in Glendale, Ariz.
The degree was conferred May 28 in a virtual graduation ceremony.
Vrana is the daughter of John and Tracy Vrana of Harmony.
She graduated from Seneca Valley High School in 2012 and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in biology from Allegheny College in 2016 with a concentration in marine sciences from Duke University.
At Midwestern, she was a National Veterinary Scholar for two consecutive years and conducted research on black-footed ferrets, one of the most endangered mammals in North America.
During her fourth year, she participated in clinical rotations through the country, from Arctic Echoes Veterinary Cardiology in Anchorage, Alaska, to SeaWorld in San Diego, Calif.
Vrana has accepted a position in Tinton Falls, N.J., to work at Red Bank Veterinary Hospital in a post-doctorate residency program.
